In this work, the carbon supports for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) were prepared from polymerized styrene-acrylonitrile carbon precursors. Activated porous carbons were prepared by chemical activation using Potassium hydroxide. Pt-Ru metals as catalysts were deposited on activated porous carbons with different weight percents(10~40 wt.%). The structure properties were analyzed by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD). The textural properties and surface morphology were investigated by N2/77 K adsorption isotherms using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation, and scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively. The size and distribution of the catalysts were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). And electrochemical properties of catalysts were measured by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 0.5 M H2SO4 electrolyte. |
