제목 Synthesis of Single-Chain Polymer Nanoparticles (SCPNs) Containing Phthalocyanines by Intramolecular Cross-Linking
초록 Polymer nanoparticles have recently attracted widespread interest in numerous applications, including nanomedicines, and nanocatalysts. However, there is difficulty in synthesizing polymer nanoparticles smaller than 20 nm. The synthesis of a nanoparticle from the collapse of a single chain polymer offers an easy way to obtain a small nanoparticle. In this study, copolymers having phthalonitrile groups were synthesized by RAFT polymerization. Single-chain polymer nanoparticles (SCPNs) containing copper phthalocyanines (CuPc) were prepared by cyclotetramerization of phthalonitrile groups on precursor copolymers with excess of phthalonitrile at diluted condition. The formation of CuPc was confirmed using UV/Vis. spectroscopy. The shape of the SCPNs was observed by TEM and AFM. The size of the SCPNs was measured using DLS. GPC demonstrated that the apparent molecular weight of the SCPNs decreased due to intramolecular cross-linking.
