Conducting polymers possessing a conjugated π-electron system has widely been investigated in various fields such as chemical and biological sensors, field-effect transistors, light emitting diodes, and solar cells because of their electronic and physical properties. Among all of the conducting polymers, polyaniline(PANI) is the most widely studied owing to its easy fabrication, stability and relatively high electrical conductivity. In this work, we have fabricated the PANI patterns with feature sizes ranging from micrometer to nanometer using a vapor phase polymerization method. Several structure-directing agents including self-assembly materials were used as a template to produce oxidant pattern required for vapor phase polymerization of PANI. It was observed that the PANI pattern was selectively deposited on patterned oxidant region. |
