제목 Improvement of the Barrier Property using Organo-clay/MIPOSS in Layer by Layer Film
초록 Layer by layer (LbL) method for manufacturing multilayer films is not only an attractive method to make complex coating solution but also a simple method to make the film using electrostatic interaction between the laminated layers. This is a well-known method to make transparent barrier films with nano-clay. Besides, nano-clay was a promising material for food packaging, flexible electronics, pharmaceutical packaging due to high flexibility, excellent transparency and their barrier property. Until now, LbL film has been commonly prepared using aqueous solution so that the film has low vapor barrier property.
In this work, LbL film was prepared using organo-montmorillonite (O-MMT) and Methacryloisobutyl Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes (MIPOSS) to overcome the limitation of water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) and enhance thermal stability. The properties of films characterized by the means of TGA and UV-Vis. And moisture barrier property was measured according to the ASTM D 3985.
