The cobalt sulfide nanocomposites as anodes were prepared through microemulsion technique for the reverse micelle, calcination process for cobalt oxide under nitrogen, and subsequent solvothermal method for ion exchange deposition oxide into sulfide. To enhance the rate capability as well as the electrochemical stability, the cobalt sulfide nanocomposite were synthesized by wrapping the carbon precursor onto the surface of cobalt precursor. The carbon-wrapped cobalt sulfide nanocomposites attribute to better electrochemical performance by buffering the volume expansion during cycling, and nanoscaled metal particle offers high surface area, giving the intimate contact between electrolyte and electrodes. |
