Preparation of thorn-like TiO2 sphere/reduced graphene oxide composite for enhanced photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B under simulated solar light irradiation |

In this work, thorn-like TiO2 spheres (TTS)/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composites were synthesized via a hydrothermal method. Structural properties of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD); scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Textural properties were investigated by N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm at 77 K. It was found that the introduction of rGO led to an increase in the specific surface area, total pore volume, and the size of mesopores in composites. Photocatalytic activities were evaluated using rhodamine B solution under simulated solar light irradiation. Degradation rate of TTS/rGO composites were improved compared to pure TTS. |
