Metal alloys are multimetallic solid solutions extensively used. Unfotunately, traditional skil, melt mixing, cannot control size, shape, and compositional uniformity of alloys. Alternatively, several approaches, such as hydrothermal synthesis, have been introduced. More significantly, those researches produce randomly distributed inhomogeneous nanoparticles, whose structural/compositional distribution and spatial arrangement raise significant challenge for advanced applications, such as electronics, magnetic storage media, plasmonics/metamaterials, and patterned catalysis. In this research, patterned nanoalloys with multicomponents are fabricated and patterns have various shapes, size, and thin thickness with high aspect ratio. Patterned nanoalloys can be composed of bimetals, trimetals, tetrametals and even metal/metal oxides. The resulting synergistic properties, SPR peak can be tuned and other synergistic properties such as catalytic properties are expected. |
