Graphene/Carbon Nanotubes/MgCl2‐Supported Ti-based Ziegler‐Natta Catalysts for Polymerization of Trans-polyisoprene |

Here we have investigated the effect of rGO/ MWCNT content on in situ polymerization of isoprene using Ti-based Ziegler-Natta catalyst (supported by rGO/MWCNT/MgCl2 hybrid composite). Ball milling process was considered for homogenous dispersion of catalyst within the carrier support. Effective polymerization using this process yields 98% of trans-poly isoprene (TPI). Thorough investigation using FTIR, 1HNMR, and 13CNMR show that the resultant polymer contains 98% of trans-structure. XRD reveals increase of β-content in the resultant polymer with increase of rGO/MWCNT content. Also, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and damping property of the resultant polymer composite, were enhanced with the increase of rGO/MWCNT content。 The present research contributes a simple and convenient way of producing high-performance TPI. |
