In case of designing a dielectric layer, metal oxide and ion gel have been candidates that used in low driving voltage and flexible device. Nevertheless, these can suffer from high strain and additional processes for dielectric layer. In this manner, one can use a multifunctional elastomer electrolyte, which simultaneously serves as a substrate and a dielectric. Further, this elastomer electrolyte gives a tremendous benefit like high transparency, low power operation, and even stretchability in the devices. In this talk, we present deformable and low voltage freestanding organic transistors gated by functional elastomer electrolyte. This device shows efficient bending tensile strain up to 7%. Especially, carrior mobility and on-current of flexible transistor were sustainable in moderate bending states. Moreover, the device showed the exceptional resistance to fatigue in cyclic bending test. We believe that our device design will provide a rational guide to stretchable electronics. |
