Novel Binary Redox Mediators in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells |
| 초록 |
Redox mediator of I-/I3- is mostly used in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and gives the highest efficiency up to now. However, new redox mediator is ever demanding to increase the energy conversion efficiency and also to remove the drawbacks of the I-/I3- redox couple. Especially, halogen/pseudo-halogen and halogen-free redox mediators, such as metal complexes, organic radicals and sulfur dimers, are typical examples examinedas an alternative redox mediator. Herein, we introduce a novel binary redox system based on halogen/pseudo-halogen redox couples, resulting in the higher energy conversion efficiency than the I-/I3- redox mediator in DSCs. |
