제목 Metal-free organic dyes for dye-sensitized solar cell applications
초록 The dye sensitized solar cell (DSC) based on mesoporous nanocrystalline TiO2 films has attracted significant attention as a low-cost photovoltaic device. Metal-free organic dyes as promising alternative to ruthenium(II) polypyridine dyes are increasingly studied in DSCs in recent years. We have designed and synthesized a series of metal free organic dyes and investigated the effect of different conjugated acridinedione with other organic moieties. The structure of organic dyes was characterized by using NMR and Mass spectrometer. HOMO and LUMO of dyes were measured with UV-vis and cyclic voltammetry. These metal free dyes have high molar extinction coefficients and soluble in all common organic solvents. The synthesized sensitizers are applied to fabricate the DSCs and photovoltaic performances were investigated.
