Recently, microporous membranes for gas separation applications, especially CO2 capture, have taken much interest as breakthrough technologies overcoming upper bounds based on the gas permeation properties of numerous typical polymer materials. Here, we would introduce high free volume polymers providing extraordinary permeable characteristics for small gas molecules. Synthesis, properties and characterization of the polymers will be discussed as focused on recent developments such PTMSP, PIMs, AF 2400 and TR-polymers. |
