Conjugated polymers constructed by the donor-acceptor (D-A) approach have attracted considerable attention for applications in organic semiconductors (OSCs) in these days. As molecular components, benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene (BDT) derivatives as donor units have been widely used to construct novel conjugated polymers owing to their high performance in electronic and optoelectronic devices. Also, thieno[3,4-b]thiophene (TT) was introduced to enhance the backbone planarity and the fluorine atom in TT lowers highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy level with maintaining bandgap energy. In this study, we demonstrated synthesis and characteristics of TT-BDT-based conjugated polymer. In detail, we investigated their physical, optical and electrochemical properties and the performance of organic semiconductor devices depending on the properties of TT-BDT-based new polymer. |
