제목 Mechanical Properties of Polymer Composites for Dental Restoration Using Si-O Bridged Silica
초록 Polymeric dental restorative composite (PDRC) was prepared using Si-O bridged silica filler treated by heat at various temperatures. Compressive strength (CS), diametral tensile strength (DTS), flexural strength (FS), and abrasion resistance were investigated to study the effect of a heat-treated silica onto the mechanical properties of PDRC using the recommended dental specifications. PDRC containing a heat-treated silica showed superior CS (20%) and DTS (30%) values compared with PDRC containing a neat silica. Also, it was found that the lower heat treatment temperature, the better mechanical properties of PDRC was observed because of no agglomeration between silica particles.
