제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Polyurethane Nanocapsules by Interfacial Polycondensation
초록 Polyurethane nanocapsules were synthesized and were chosen as drug carriers for trans-retinol. This active ingredient is widely used as an anti-wrinkle agent in the cosmetic application. But it could be rapidly degraded in the atmosphere, because of its poor light, heat and oxygen sensitivity. Thus polyurethane nanocapsules were synthesized by interfacial reaction between two monomers. Interfacial polycondensation combined with spontaneous emulsification is a new technique for nanocapsule formation. Nanocapsules were characterized by measuring the particle size (300~500nm), pH, yield of encapsulation and morphologies. Polyurethanes (PUR) were obtained from the condensation of diisocyanate (4,4-Diphenylmethane diisocyanate : MDI ) with several polyols. Molecular weights of polyols had a considerable influence on nanoparticles characteristics cited above. The increase of molecular weight of polyols tended to increase the mean size of nanocapsules. The results showed that the yield of encapsulation was increased with the increase of molecular weight of polyols.
