The change as an effect of an electrostatic field of free surface wave of film flow down an inclined plane under in steady-state |

In this study, we have observed visualization of free surface wave of film flow down an inclined plane under an electrostatic field. So we have investigated a relationship between power of electrostatic field and height of wave of film flow down. Then we have used silicon oil which is nonpolar and has an weak surface tension as fluid of film flow. And the wave is come into existence by pouring fluid of regular amount in steady state. So we have measured a visualization like velocity, height and wavelength of wave of flow lilm as changes of power of electrostatic field under fixed average velocity of film flow in steady state, inclined angle and thickness of film flow. So we confirmed the height of surface wave is higher as the power of electrostatic field is operated and the effect of an electrostatic field is larger as the inclined angle is larger. |
