제목 | Effects of Fe on catalytic conversion of ethane to ethylene over Ni-Fe-Al catalysts prepared by sol-gel method |
초록 | Oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane to ethylene was studied using Ni-Fe-Al mixed metal oxides as catalysts. Several catalysts were prepared with various Fe2+/Al3+ ratios by using sol-gel method. The reason for choosing Iron as a catalytic metal was that Iron has a good property of activating oxygen in air well. It is expected that the optimum amount of Fe as well as the improved catalytic performance can be obtained. Within 450 to 500 temperature range, it was found that the conversion increased and the selectivity decreased as the iron content increased. Despite the effort to add iron, the addition did not show any enhancement in terms of the catalytic activity. To verify phases of metal oxides, XRD method was conducted. By physisorption, surface area and pore size were measured quantitatively. |
