제목 Synthesis of CdS/Polypyrrole Nanoparticles for Hybrid Photovoltaic Cells
초록 Organic-inorganic hybrid photovoltaic cells have been investigated to improve the low solar power conversion efficiencies of organic solar cells. We have prepared photoactive materials by using inorganic nanoparticles coated with conducting polymer for large donor-acceptor interfaces. Cadium surfide(CdS) which is commonly used as an acceptor material was synthesized by reverse-micelle method. Surfactant solution was prepared by dissolving sodium bis(2-ethyl-hexyl) sulfosuccinate in heptane, and then the stock solutions of CdS precursors were mechanically mixed with the surfactant solution. To design optimum band gaps between Ppy as a donor and CdS as an acceptor material, particle size of CdS was controlled by the amount of water and a capping material. Organic-inorganic hybrid active particles were obtained by the polymerization of pyrrole monomer onto CdS particle surfaces. The resulting materials were characterized by using X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, UV-vis absorption, cyclic voltametry and TEM. The optical properties were characterized by spectrofluorometer and Keitheley 237. Since CdS nanoparticles with a diameter of 5~10 nm have 2.0~3.2 eV band gap, they could be used as an acceptor material for various donor materials.
