제목 For the Optimun Structural Stiffness of Rubber: Development of Rubber/Silica Nanocomposite Inks for Structural Stiffness via Direct Ink Writing
초록 Contemporary reinforcing fillers in tire industry have been utilized with silica for better mechanical properties. Though resistance to traction and rigidity of tire are optimal for reinforcing fillers ranging from 10 to 50 nm in a diameter, it was extremely hard to stabilize the monodispersed particles and restrain aggregation. Here, we treated silica surface via adhesive coating of Fe-TA complex having high mono-dispersity through the π-π Interaction. The surface treated silica suspended to styrene-isoprene-styrene dissolved toluene solution ink, and the ink was 3D printed into soft materials, whose micro-structure could rapidly be fabricated in complex 3D shapes. By tailoring their microstructure and geometry, the mechanical strength of printed tires was further improved with finely fabricated microstructures via direct ink writing. This capability represents an important step toward the scalable fabrication of well dispersed polymer composites for versatile applications.
