Supramolecular materials, which have noncovalent bond including hydrogen bond, Phi-Phi interaction and host-guest interaction, are getting attentions because of their unusual functionality. Supramolecular materials in hydrogel, elastomer, coatings have showed outstanding properties, like self-assembly, self-healing and switchable mechanical property, which are hard to obtain with covalent bond. In this research, we focused on their ability as cross-linker in adhesives. By some modifications of supramolecular materials, we could make the movable cross-linker which shows dis-similar properties compared to the covalent cross-linking agent. Movable Cross-linking with supramolecular materials might open new paradigm of adhesives. |
