The strategy for assembly of diblock copolymers and nanoparticles relies on tailoring the surface chemistry of nanocrystal such that it exhibits a stronger affinity for one block. In this study, we compatibilized silver nanoparticles, thereby rendering the nanocrystal-PEO system to interact favorably with PEO block. A novel strategy to synthesize of silver monometallic nanoparticles through autoreduction of silver nitrate (AgNO3) in poly(1H,1H-dihydroperfluorooctyl methacrylate-b-ethylene oxide) (poly(FOMA10k-b-EO10k)) block copolymer thin film. Silver monometallic nanoparticles with a diameter of 5 nm were achieved in the poly(FOMA10k-b-EO10k) block copolymer thin film. The UV-visible spectrometer well-defined absoption bands for silver nanoparticles due to surface plasmon resonance phenomena. |
