제목 Synthesis of Nanopatterned Polymer Brushes from a Surface-Reactive Amphiphilic Diblock Copolymer
초록 A surface-reactive amphiphilic diblock copolymer, poly[styrene-b-(3-trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate](PS-b-PTMSPMA), was synthesized using atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) with CuBr/N,N,N’,N”,N”-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine(PMDETA) catalyst system. The diblock copolymer was coated onto the silica substrate surface by the immersion or dip-coating method followed by rinsing with solvent. AFM study for the resulting monolayer-thick film revealed mound patterns of which the surface-reactive PTMSPMA blocks were covalently bonded to the substrate and the hydrophobic PS blocks were segregated from the surface to form nanoscopic mounds.
