Organic Photovoltaics (OPVs) have recently received much attention, because they are reproducible, use an unlimited amount of photovoltaic energy, have low production costs, and are lightweight, flexible, and can be scaled up. Donor-acceptor (D-A) type π-conjugated polymers, poly[quinacridone-alt-dithienylquinoxaline] series (PQCDTQx-m8, PQCDTQx-mEH, PQCDTQx-p8, PQCDTQx-pEH) with alkoxy chains (linear octyl or branched 2-ethylhexyl) at different anchoring positions (meta- or para-) in quinoxaline unit were synthesized via Suzuki coupling reaction. A quinacridone (QC) which is known as a red-violet pigment, has an ordered structure, self-assembled characteristics and high hole mobility. A quinoxaline (Qx) moiety acts as strong acceptors due to the presence of two imine nitrogen atoms. Moreover, introducing thiophene (T) spacer between D and A unit as π-bridge is extended π-conjugation lengths. The polymers are showed physical, optical, electrochemical and photovoltaic properties. |
