Despite of promising aspects of perovskite solar cells, several problems limit their high power conversion efficiency (PCE). One of the problems arises from presences of pin-holes resulting shunt pathways. It is important to control nucleation to solve this problem because various sizes of nuclei can form different grain sizes and there is the probability of making pinhole between them. We introduce heated airflow in planar CH3NH3PbI3-xClx perovskite devices to control the nucleation of the perovskite. Upon employing heated air during the nucleation stage of the perovskite, we stimulate uniformly distributed nuclei growth, resulting a pin-hole free planar perovskite layer. |
