Improved Hydrothermal Stability and NH3-SCR Activity of High Silica Cu-SSZ-13 Using Alkali Cation Exchanging |

Copper containing high siliceous small pore zeolite, chabazite has been applied successfully for NOx abatement for mobile source. The hydrothermal stability of the catalyst, one of the problems to be solved for mobile application, can be affected the Si/Al ratio, cation presented in the zeolite, and crystal size. In this work, high siliceous chabazite of which the Si/Al ratio was 12 has been prepared using benzyltrimethyl ammonium ion as organic structure directing agent through direct hydrothermal conversion of ultrastable Y zeolite. The Na form product was sufficiently exchanged with NH4+ and then calcined to obtain a H form catalyst. After hydrothermal treatment at 900 oC, their physico-chemical properties and NH3-SCR reaction activities were investigated to demonstrate the effect of cations. |
