Two-Dimensional Peptide Materials for Artificial Photosynthesis |

Recently self-assembled peptide structures have drawn much attention due to their catalytic and electrical properties related to energy conversion. To make a suitable photosynthetic bio-mimetic material, It is important to mimic tyrosine which is a key amino acid in photosystem Ⅱ. We made the self-assembled two-dimensional peptide film that has tyrosine residues. We suggest the possibility that our peptide film can be used in the field of artificial photosynthesis. We are expecting that it can help photo-catalytic reaction to oxidize water efficiently. |
