Layer-by-layer assembly of polyelectrolyte prepared by alternating adsorptions of polycations and polyanions is a simple and powerful method to fabricate thin polymer films. It has been extensively studied for its applications in many areas such as conducting layers, sensors, light emitting films, and selective areas patterning. In this study, polyelectrolyte multilayer was prepared using poly(allylamine hydrochloride) as a cationic polymer and poly(styrene sulfonate sodium salt) as an anionic polymer. On top of the prepared film with cationic polymers, MWNT functionalized with carboxylic acid was deposited to provide electrical conductivity. Thickness, roughness, charge density, deposition of MWNT, and conductivity of the film were characterized using ellipsometer, UV spectrometer, AFM, SEM, zeta potential analyzer, and resistivity meter. |
