To enhance the luminescence intensity of Er3+ ions, Er3+-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA)s based on Er3+-doped silica materials have progressively been developed by exciting Er3+ions at longer wavelength from 488nm through 524nm to 988nm to reduce the vibrational relaxation decay. Thus, the PL intensity of Er3+ion at the excitation wavelength of 988nm was enhanced much more than any other pumping band of 488nm or 524nm. Therefor, In this presentation, we have designed and synthesized Er3+-encapsulated supramolecule based on the long wavelength of BODIPYs for optical amplifiers. Form result of photophysical studies, we have demonstrated that the longer excited wavelength close to the first excited state(4I13/2) of Ln3+ions does not influence the lanthanide emission enhancement through the spectral overlap integrals(J) of complexed ligands with erbium earth ions(such as 580-850nm) |
