Supramolecular Assembly of Ionic Polymers in Thin Film |

Supramolecules have attracted great attention as self assembly materials. They can act as block copolymers that different blocks are connected by noncovalent bond such as hydrogen bonding, ionic interaction, and coordination complexation and so on. Previously, self assembly characteristics of such supramolecules was demonstrated by several groups. In this work, We investigate blend of ionic polymer,s PS and PEG having charge groups in chain end. We expect that this blend can be assembled into nanostructures through solvent annealing. And also we investigate the effect of other variables such as solvent annealing conditions, number of charge groups, etc. This system may provide simpler way for self assembly characteristic without complex synthesis. Moreover this noncovalent can be affected by several external stimuli. Therefeore, stimuli-responsive and reversible block copolymer like supramolecule system is able to attain. |
