A Study of Polyviologen Derivates on the Buffer Layer in Polymer Solar Cells |

As a cathode buffer, interface dipoles at the cathode interface have been used to fabricate highly efficient and stable polymer solar cells (PSCs) by proposing the interfacial dipole strength of PSCs. It is possible to reduce the energetic barrier height at the interface in order to form an ohmic contact with a low series resistance, thereby enhancing the charge collection efficiency of the corresponding electrode for holes or electrons. Here, we examined the effects of different types of counteranions (CAs) on cationic polyviologen (PV) derivatives used as cathode buffer layers on conjugated polymer electrolytes (CPEs). When the CAs are changed in PV derivatives, the strength of interfacial dipoles changes as well. |
