Nowadays, the production of next generation of electronics which are used in high frequency regions necessitates low dielectric constant, dielectric loss materials. For example, the receive frequency of mobile phones range from 1Ghz to 10GHz. And in many communication application fields like GPS, TV satellite, their operating frequency is in GHz regions. Liquid crystalline epoxy resin is composed of epoxy monomers which contains aromatic mesogenic groups and oxirane rings and curing agents (amines). Liquid crystalline epoxy resin has great advantage on excellent adhesion, low shrinkage and good thermal properties. In this study, we fabricated epoxy/silica composites using LCE monomers and various diamine, phenolic curing agents. The effect of mesogenic length and types of linkage was investigated. In addition, dielectric properties of polymer blends using polyetherimide as a low dielectric organic filer. |
