제목 Drug Release Behavior from Electrospun Poly(caprolactone-b-ethylene glycol) Matrix
초록 Recent interest in the delivery of drugs has demanded the development of new controlled release systems. Electrospinning is a unique and useful technique to produce the polymeric fibers with diameters ranging from several microns to less than 100nm. Amphiphilic triblock copolymer of poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(ε-caprolactone) were synthesized via anion ring opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone using poly(ethylene glycol). The electrospun fiber mats were made from poly(ε-caprolacton-b-ethylene glycol) (PCEC). PCEC copolymer and a calculated amount of model drug were mixed in tetrahydrofuran. Naproxen, Omeprazole, Nifedipine and Aspirin were used as model drugs. Drug releases from the electrospun matrix systems were measured by UV spectrophotometry. Release profiles from the electrospun mats were compared with cast films.
