제목 | Formation and Properties of PHB/PEN/PET Ternary Fibers in High-Speed Melt Spinning |
초록 | Melt spinning is the most rational fiber-formation process for the polymer. Continuing research and development work may yet achieve super-fibers having higher performance and characteristics at lower cost. Especially, spinning of thermotropic liquid-crystal polymers (TLCPs) is commercial interest from the viewpoint of production cost. In this study, TLCPs were composed of 80mol% p-HBA and 20mol% PET. Blending composition of LCP-PEN-PET blends in weight ratios were 0/50/50, 7.5/46.3/46.3, 10/45/45. Preferentially, the blends were prepared by reactive extrusion using twin screw extruder. Melt spun fibers were extruded from capillary rheometer at various spinning speeds. The fine structure and physical properties of PHB/PEN/PET Ternary fibers were investigated with various techniques such as WAXD, birefringence, density measurement, boil-off shrinkage and tensile testing. |
