Highly luminescenct and stable quantum dot(QD)/polymer composites film is necessary to QD LED applications. However, conventional QDs has several problem because they has toxic materials such as Cd, and there have limitations in industrial application. And QDs aggregation within polymer matrix, because of lower compatability between QDs and polymer matrix, can reduce optical properties (luminescent efficiency, transmittance) and stability of QD/polymer composites. So, we attempted to enhance dispersion states of Cd-free quantum dots within polydimethylsiloxane polymer composites by introducting amphiphilic polymer. Amphiphilic polymer can protect QDs surfaces by hydrophobic interaction between original QD ligands and hydrophobic parts of amphiphilic polymer, and can crosslink with NH2-functionalized polydimethylsiloxane polymer matrix. And we characterized prepared Cd-free QD/polysiloxane nanocomposite such as quantum yield, transparency and stability. |
