제목 Ladder-Structured Polysilsesquioxane-Based Membranes for Gas Separations
초록 Membrane-based gas separations are attractive due to their relatively high energy efficiency as well as small footprints. Especially, polymers are practical materials in membrane market since they are economical and easily processable. For the first time, our group investigated ladder-structured polysilsesquioxane (LPSQ)-based membranes for gas separations as a proof-of-concept by using ladder-structured poly(phenyl-co-glycidoxypropyl) silsesquioxanes with phenyl:glycidoxypropyl copolymer ratio of 6:4 (LPG64). The LPSQ, a general formula of (RSiO1.5)n, are hybrid materials consisting of an inorganic framework and organic functional groups with unique double-stranded molecular structure. In this talk, I will present different LSPQ-based membranes and their potential applications for gas separations.
