Preparation and characterization of layer-by-layer assembly of graphene nanocomposite ultrathin films |

Graphene, a two-dimensional carbon material with atoms arranged in a honeycomb lattice, has attracted strong scientific and technological interests, in recent years, because of its excellent physical properties such as high surface area and mechanical strength etc. In the present research, layer-by-layer(LBL) assembly of graphene nanocomposites that consists of positively and negatively charged structures are prepared and characterized using standard characterization tools. Negatively and positively charged graphene nanocomposites are prepared by using poly(aniline sulfonic acid) and poly(allylamine), leading to highly tunable thin films via the LBL technique. AFM and SEM used to understand the network structure in the LBL films. Finally, the electrochemical measurements of graphene nanocomposites based LBL thin film electrodes are done to understand the electronic conductivity and electrochemical capacity. |
