The search for organic semiconductors that can replace silicon-based semiconductors in thin-film transistor (TFT) backplanes has inspired impressive efforts. Many efforts have centered on developing simple and reproducible methods for producing organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Conjugated polymeric semiconductors enable the facile formation of films using solution deposition techniques. The solution processability of these materials can be adapted to the mass production of flexible, low-cost, large-area devices. |
