Studies on Electrical Properties of Low-Cost Electrical Conductive Cement with Crystalline Carbon By-Product |

In this study, cement (Type I portland) was added with crystalline carbon by-product to enhance the electrical characteristics. The cement composite was made from 0-20 phr of crystalline carbon by-product. UTM and 4-point probe were used to measure flexural, compressive strength and electrical conductivity. As the crystalline carbon by-product content increased, the flexural and compressive strength decreased, but the electrical conductivity increased. This result is judged to be because crystalline carbon by-product with low hardness was mixed with cement with high hardness. In conclusion, the application of crystalline carbon by-product as a conductive material of cement could confirm the possibility of inexpensive electric conductive cement. |
