Catalytic application of sulfonated mesoporous superhydrophilic materials |
초록 |
A facile one-step chemical preparation of novel solid acid catalyst route was developed by chelating a disulfonate compound with the titania in the nanoporous SiO2-TiO2 network under controlled pH conditions for incorporation of sulfonic acid into the solid network surface. The solid acidity of the developed inorganic based particles was tested in the catalytic esterification of acetic acid with ethanol. Furthermore, the strong hydrophilicity of internal network surface gave additional advantages with the water uptake capability to promote the esterification yields. And the eco-friendly benign catalyst material with dual functionality of acidity and hydrophilicity is very useful in the field of “clean technology” by replacement of extremely hazardous chemicals in esterification process. |
