제목 Preparation of Poly(vinyl alcohol)-grafted Carbon Nanotubes
초록 A facile method for preparing waster-dispersible carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was developed. Poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) was first polymerized by cobalt-mediated radical polymerization (CMRP) of vinyl acetate, and directly grafted to CNTs. Poly(vinyl acetate) chains were end-capped by a Co(acac)2 complex [PVAc-Co(acac)2]. The C-Co bonds of the PVAc-Co(acac)2 chains were homolytically cleaved with release of PVAc macroradicals. The PAV-grafted CNTs were obtained by hydrolysis of the grafted PVAc chains. The PAV-grafted CNTs exhibited good water dispersibility.
