The microsphere of alginate and lactic acid bacteria (Streptococcus thermophilus) was synthesized by using W/W method. In order to control the released time, the surface of microsphere was modified by the direct fluorination method. The surface morphology of resultant samples was investigated by FE-SEM images and their chemical bond of surface was studied by using XPS analysis. The release experiment was carried out by using UV-spectrometer. Through direct fluorination, the hydrophobic functional groups were introduced with effects of controlled release of drug. Eventually, it is sure that the direct fluorination method is one of efficient method for controlling the properties of releasing a drug with so short time and simple procedure. |
