A novel porous polymer membranes based on poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA), poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVdF), and polyethylene oxide-co-polypropylene oxide-co-polyethylene oxide (PEO-PPO-PEO, F127) were prepared as the matrix of porous polymer electrolytes by phase inversion technique and solvent controlled evaporation procedure. It is found that the phase inversion technique resulted in the higher porosity and electrolyte uptake by means of the F127 extraction in water than the solvent controlled evaporation procedure, and that the weight ratio of PEGDA to F127 can influence the porous size and structure. The high mechanical strength and better flexibility of the membranes can be fabricated by combination of PEGDA network, PVdF and F127. The highest electrolyte uptake and the maximum room temperature ionic conductivity were obtained in the blend membrane of 0/4/4. All PEGDA/PVdF/F127 gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) assured electrochemical stability up to 4.5V. |
