For efficient CO2 reduction reaction, several scientific issues still remain. Since CO2 molecules have thermodynamically high stability, a large overpotential is needed to reduce those molecules. Furthermore, CO2 reduction reaction competes with hydrogen evolution reaction because of its similar mechanism. To overcome those issues, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are chosen for the suitable electrocatalyst due to its good electron transfer property. In addition, the electrospun carbon nanofibers (CNFs), as a support, serve not only the high surface area but helpful for the electron transfer. The prepared samples are analyzed by electrochemical methods such as linear sweep voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, and Tafel slope. Also, CNF and CNF/TMDs are characterized by SEM, EDX, and XRD. |
