제목 Supramolecular Assembly of End Functionalized Polymer blend in solvent-annealed thin film
초록 It has recently been shown that noncovalent bonds can be used in constructing block-copolymer-like molecular complexes (say supramolecules) that serve equally as building units of nanostructures. The effect of many processing variables such as solvent annealing has not been well-understood yet. Here we report the effect of solvent annealing on the formation of supramolecular nanostructure in a binary polymer blend consisting of complementarily end-interacting two species of polymers, mono-end-sulfonated polystyrene (SPS)/mono-end-aminated poly(ethylene oxide) (APEO). The effects of various annealing (e.g. solvent-annealing time) and material variables (e.g. composition of blend, film thickness) in the solvent-annealed polymer blend are investigated using atomic force microscopy and ellipsometer and the interplay between solvent annealing and supramolecular interactions is discussed.
