In this study, the CNTs (carbon nano tubes) embedded TiO2 hollow fibers were prepared as photocatalysts by the electrospinning and impregnation method with MWCNTs and different ratios TTIP (titanium tetra-isopropoxide). The properties of CNTs embedded TiO2 hollow fibers were confirmed by FE-SEM (field emission scanning electron microscopy), TGA (thermo gravimetry analysis), BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller), and XRD (X-ray diffraction). The photocatalytic activity was investigated by removal of methylene blue according to UV radiation time. These results showed that CNTs embedded TiO2 hollow fibers were successfully prepared. The highest removal ratio of CNTs embedded TiO2 hollow fibers was approximately 62% at 70 min, which increased over approximately 80% than that of TiO2. |
