제목 Antimicrobial properties of polycation-immobilized silica nanoparticles
초록 The polycation-modified silica nanoparticles were synthesized via vapor deposition polymerization. Using the different diameter silica nanoparticles as core-parts, the size of polycation nanoparticles can be controlled readily. The fabricated core-shell nanoparticles were evaluated as an antimicrobial agent against Gram-negative Escherichia coli and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus. The biocidal activity test demonstrated that the silica-polycation core-shell nanoparticle had more excellent antimicrobial performance than several micro-meter sized bulk polycations and this core-shell nanoparticle showed enhanced anti-bioadhesion on glass slide.
