We fabricated mesoporous silica fibers using tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), surfactant, template polymer via electrospinning. Subsequently, we prepared mesoporous silica nanofibers (MSF) by baking and calcination. MSF has a particularly large surface area and high pore volume, uniform pore size distribution, ease of surface modification to internal pores or external surfaces. Due to these characteristics, MSF has the advantage of adsorbing a large amount of surfactant, dye and hazard chemicals. To increase the adsorption efficiency, we modified the surface of MSF with N-trimethoxysilylpropyl-N,N,N-trimethylammonium chloride (MSFN). MSFN was characterized by FT-IR, TGA and XPS. The MSFN can adsorb the SDBS and anionic dyes in wastewater. |
