제목 Effect of Pd Amount on Pd/Co3O4 Catalyst Prepared by Incipient Wetness Impregnation Method for CO Oxidation
초록 As the environmental pollution caused by automobile exhaust gas becomes serious, an interest in the catalyst for exhaust gas reduction is increasing. As a result, more advanced catalysts are now under development. One of them is a catalyst having high activity at a low temperature. We focused on the Pd/Co3O4 catalyst that converts CO to CO2. In Co3O4, Co-O bond strength is relatively weak, so the reactive oxygen can be obtained easily from the lattice oxygen and the adsorption ability of carbon monoxide is also excellent. Meantime, for Pd, oxygen can be easily adsorbed. Therefore, we found that CO oxidation efficiently occurs at low temperature by the synergetic effect of different characteristics of two materials. The characteristics of Pd/Co3O4 with various loading amounts were analyzed by BET, XRD,TEM, TPD, TPR and XPS. In addition, their activities were compared by GC measurement.
