Multi-functional hybrid coatings having scratch and corrosion resistance containing anti-corrosive acrylate monomer and modified silica nanoparticles |
초록 |
A new acrylate monomer containing an anti-corrosive functional group was successfully synthesized and used to prepare multifunctional hybrid coatings having both anti-corrosion ability and scratch resistance. Tetrasiloxane acrylate with a siloxane group in its core was also synthesized to improve the compatibility with modified silica nanoparticles and with tetraacrylate to obtain better photo-conversion. Silica nanoparticles were modified with MEMO to enhance the dispersion properties in the acrylate matrix and FTIR, TGA, and TEM data indicated that the methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane was successfully grafted onto the silica nanoparticles. Multi-functional hybrid coatings were coated on iron substrates followed by photopolymerization. The corrosion protection of the coatings was studied by EIS and the coating containing anti-corrosion functional groups showed excellent corrosion protection on iron with 45H pencil hardness. |
