In this study, pellet-type graphite-filled polyamide (PA) nanocomposites were prepared with various graphite content in the composites, and their mechanical strength and thermal conductivity were studied. Pellet-type graphite was prepared by a solution mixing using bar-type ultra-sonicator in the graphite contents from 1phr to 50 phr. The pellet-type graphite was mixed into a polyamide and an extruder, and then produced into a thermally composites by an injection method. The mechanical strength and thermal conductivity of the nanocomposites were studied by ASTM D683 method and a hot-disc method by ISO22007-2, respectively. From the results, it was found that the mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of the composites were enhanced with increasing graphite contents. |
